How Swipe & Match Works

Every card is a real name from official birth records in five countries, filtered to the ones people are actually using where you live. Keep the ones you like and they collect on your shortlist. Nothing is saved until you keep something, and you never need an account to swipe.

Tap any card to turn it over for the meaning, the origin and where the name stands in each country we hold. If you swipe the wrong way, the undo button takes it back.

Swiping With Someone Else

Send your partner a link and you each swipe the same names privately — a name only appears as a match when you've both kept it, and neither of you ever sees what the other passed on. Or send a voting link to friends and family and see who picked what, name by name.

Separately, then compare. The usual method — one person reads names aloud and the other reacts — fails because the person reading has already chosen: they picked which names to read, in what order, and with what tone. Swiping apart and looking at the overlap removes that, and it means nobody has to defend a rejection out loud.

Is There an App Like Tinder but for Baby Names?
